Kathryn Littlepage founded Paradise Organized after a
lifetime of helping others get organized. While her childhood friends
played with dolls, she made furniture templates and tried to make her
parents' home more efficient. Even before "de-cluttering" and "getting
organized" were such popular ideas, she made lists to help her stay on
track. As a child, she learned that lists can truly set you free, and
she made a lot of them. She set up her first home 35 years ago and was
determined to do it right. She read every book and magazine she could
find on efficient homemaking. While she didn't keep the
magazines, she did keep the articles and her filing cabinet is full of
articles dating back to the 70's. She categorized every item she and her
husband brought into their home before she determined a logical place
for it. She even organized her kitchen cabinets on paper before she
actually filled them. Littlepage was obviously destined to become a
professional organizer! She has always strived to accomplish tasks more
efficiently.

For her, each year and each
career - as a fitness business owner, an Embassy secretary, a circuit
court
clerk, an office manager, a paralegal, a mother, a wife, even as a
waitress - all provided valuable lessons in organizing. She learned the
hard way what NOT being organized can do to a family and, worse, to
one's self-esteem. While it's true that her home is full of what others
would call clutter, it's relatively organized clutter and it is always
useful (and sometimes comforting) to her and her family. And, though she
admits to occasionally having to run through the house with a trash bag
before dinner guests arrive and stash it in a closet, she can find the
bag the next day and get everything put back in its proper place. Her
mission is to help you get organized enough to enjoy your life in this
island paradise.

Since a MUST of living on a tiny
island is laying in supplies, she will not tell you to de-clutter your
home. She is here to help you organize and contain your supplies. Just
about every organizing guru tells you to "toss the clutter" and clear
your spaces. While that makes plenty of sense, and makes your life
simpler, some of us happen to like our stuff. And we islanders have to
keep a disaster pantry, filled with enough to live on for at least 6
weeks. We will help you
organize your stuff -- We'll de-clutter your head and your life, but
learn to organize your things and supplies.
