The Time Manager

A few good flashlights are the basis of any emergency kit -

Not only can they provide comfort and light, but they can be used as signaling devices as well.   Be sure you have tucked away a simple, old-fashioned telephone - one that does not require electricity to work.

EQUIPMENT and EMERGENCY DEVICES:

  • Flashlights - one for every room in the home (keep at the bedside0, and a rechargeable one to keep plugged in
  • Battery-powered radio, plus a weather radio if you can get one - a hand-crank radio would be invaluable
  • Rechargeable battery-operated lanterns
  • Candles and kerosene lamps - although they are fire hazards, use them if you must
  • Wind-up or battery-operated alarm clock
  • Fire extinguishers, ABC type  - keep one or two at a time and check them regularly
  • Prepaid calling card
  • Go-Card for cell phone
  • Extra set of keys

---- Remember, in many emergencies, your computer will be inaccessible, so a hard copy of any Paradise Organized chapters you find especially helpful is a good thing to have on hand! ----
